Synopsis
For Carmen, life in France has meant untreated homesickness and total uprooting since she first emigrated from southern Spain to Catalonia, and then to France. Now back in her homeland after more than forty years in France, the exile continues, as she returns not to her own land but to her husband Ramón's, Galicia, where everything contrasts with her own: the North rather than the South, bagpipes rather than castanets, cold rather than heat and the Atlantic rather than the Sierra.
