Synopsis

A few years ago, a slave cemetery was found in Martinique. What to do with these forgotten dead? Give them a burial? Preserve them for the future? Not only do they tell a story, but they are still active. This is not a theoretical question: it is one that agitates the island today. Slavery is not just a bad memory, it continues to haunt the population as evidenced by the physical and psychological pathologies specific to this territory.
It is a whole history, several centuries long, that is emerging, that is permeating Martinique.
