A few years ago, Cyclone Dean turned the soil of Martinique upside down: a cemetery for enslaved people resurfaced at Anse Bellay. At the psychiatric hospital, the idea of linking this piece of land on the edge of the sea with a novel approach to healing was put forward. The site crystallizes several concerns that the film brings together. The words of the living, the care of the bodies, the spirits of the dead, and the colonial imprint all mix together. It's the relationship between a place and its unseen, its scattered fragments, the story told by the plants, what they have seen, what has been hushed up.Festivals & awards
